Our award-winning composer of film music, known for his tendencies towards Hollywood musical expression, was born in 1977 in Belgrade, where he made his first musical steps, learning to play the violin, then the trombone and piano. He graduated in composition at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade in the class of Professor Milan Mihajlovic.
While still a student, he began writing music for several Spanish short and documentary films. This was followed by: "Milan Tarot" 2010 directed by Ivan Ikic, "Jet Set" the first Serbian animated series 2011 directed by Nenad Mitic, "Cosma" 2013 directed by Sonja Blagojevic, for which he won the award of the International Documentary Film Festival in Panama for original music.
For some time he taught at the Stankovic and Mokranjac music schools, and his position as a professor gave him an insight and invaluable experience in communicating with young people.
He has been Head of Music Department at DKSG since 2012. His job consists of selecting and organizing performances of inland and foreign bands, authors and performers of art music, organizing workshops. However, he remains committed to his greatest passion - film music. He composed music for the film "In Search of a Dream" with Jadranka Stojakovic, and directed by Mladen Mitrovic (joint co-production of Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and the Council of Europe). The film is on the list of millennium projects of the Council of Europe and won the Audience Award at the Sarajevo Film Festival 2015. His latest soundtrack for the film Panama, directed by young and prominent director Pavle Vuckovic, premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in 2015 and is the first debut feature film from Serbia that was part of the main selection of the world's most influential and prestigious film festival after thirty years. The music for the film Panama brings him the recognition of the National Selection of the International Federation of Film Critics Fipresci for the best music in Serbian film for 2015. The music for the film Panama was released by the British record company and is available on iTunes, Amazon and Spotify as electronic and physical editions.
