POZIV ZA UČEŠĆE U DRUGOM MEĐUNARODNOM STUDENTSKOM BIJENALU UMETNOSTI KNJIGE, (s)BUK2.
Drage kolege, U toku završnih priprema konkursa za drugo međunarodno Studentsko bijenale umetnosti knjige [s]BUK2, zatekla nas je pandemija Korona virusa i doprinela da razmišljamo o otkazivanju i konkursa i manifestacije. Pozitivan duh i vera da će stanje uskoro biti bolje, navelo nas je da ipak raspišemo konkurs i da planiramo i nastavimo da pripremamo izložbu radova i skup radionica na temu studentske autorske knjige. Radovi koji nastanu u ovih sledećih par meseci, ili postojeći radovi koji budu sagledavani i birani, neće moći da izbegnu kontekst novih okolnosti i svest o novoj epohi čovekove ranjivosti. Možda će nastajanje ovih knjiga u karantinu, neke od njih učiniti nezaobilaznim svedočanstvom trenutka. Kulturne politike čitavih zemalja, gradova i institucija su se zaustavile i čekaju u neizvesnosti posledice ove krize koja zalazi u svaki domen ljudske egzistencije i koja će se osetiti u svakom elementu čovekovog delovanja. Isto je i sa institucijama i ljudima koji su stali iza ove manifestacije i konkursa. Zato zadržavamo mogućnost, da ako iz bilo kog razloga Studentsko bijenale umetnosti knjige [s]BUK2 ne bude moglo da se održi u novembru, kako je bilo planirano, da ćemo dati sve od sebe da ga održimo u prvom sledećem terminu do kraja tekuće godine.

OPEN CALL FOR THE 2ND INTERNATIONAL STUDENT BIENNIAL OF ART OF BOOK (s)BUK2
Dear colleagues, During the final preparation of the competition for the second International Student Art Biennale of the Book, [s]BUK2, we were caught by pandemic of coronavirus, which forced us to take into the consideration to call off both the competition and the event. The positive spirit and belief that the situation would soon be better led us to call for a competition and to plan and continue to prepare the exhibition of artworks and sets of workshops on the subject of the student’s author’s book. Artworks that will be created in these following months, or the existing that will be examined and selected, we suppose won’t be able to avoid the context of new circumstances and the awareness of a new era of human vulnerability. Perhaps, some of these books created during the curfew and quarantin, will make an inevitable testimony of the moment. Cultural policies of many countries, cities and institutions have come to a standstill, while waiting the result and consequences of the coronavirus crisis. It will affect each segment of human existence and will be present in every-day human actions. Therefore, institutions and people behind this competition and event, hold the possibility that if for any reason the second International Student Art Biennale of the Book [s]BUK2, cannot be held in November, as planned, will do their best to organize it as soon as possible.
THE DEADLINE FOR ELECTRONIC SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION IS 1ST AUGUST 2020.
